Halloumi Fries
Ingredients
The best halloumi recipe I know – Haloumi Fries! The outsides are crunchy and the insides are warm, salty halloumi cheese. Guaranteed crowd pleaser😌😌
Ingredients:
– 4 Tbsps @dairiday Laban
– Handful of coriander leaves
– Handful of mint leaves
– 1 green Chili
– Juice of half a lemon
– 1 garlic clove
For the Fries:
– 200g @dairiday Halloumi, cut into fries
– 1 Cup all purpose flour
– 1 Tsp turmeric
Method:
– Blend the yoghurt with the mint, the coriander, green chilli, garlic clove and a lemon juice . Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
– Pat the halloumi block dry and cut into fries as shown
– Mix together the flour and turmeric.
– Roll the halloumi fries in the mixture, ensuring they are all evenly covered. Shake off excess flour
– Fill a frying pan up with oil and heat over medium low flame.
– Fry the Halloumi stick in batches until they float and turn golden crispy.
– Once cooked, lay them out on a few layers of kitchen paper to remove any excess oil. Serve and enjoy!
